Failure to do so may delay or diminish the results of acne laser treatment. Completely avoid the sun for 48 hours after each treatment session. Depending on the type of acne laser treatment and the severity of your acne and acne scars, you may need anywhere from 3-10 treatments for optimal results. Patients typically begin to see improvement after their first acne laser treatment, and many return once or twice a year for continued results
